Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: 1 June 2026

We believe you should always know how the things you read for free are paid for. This disclosure is provided in the spirit of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and the disclosure of material connections.

How we make money

Taste Travel Guide is free to read, and our flight search is free to use. We fund the magazine through affiliate referral commissions. Our flight comparison search is powered by a third-party travel-technology partner that works with hundreds of airlines and online travel agencies. When you run a search on our site and then click through and complete a booking with one of those providers, we may earn a small referral commission on that sale.

What this means for you

How the search and the booking flow work

When you run a search, you are taken to our own flight-search section at avia.tastetravelguide.com — a comparison engine, powered by a travel-technology partner, that aggregates fares from hundreds of airlines and online travel agencies in real time — to view the live results for your route and dates. When you select a specific fare to book, you are then handed off to the relevant airline or online travel agency, where the booking and payment take place entirely on their own secure platform.

We are not the merchant of record. Taste Travel Guide does not sell tickets, does not take your payment, and is not responsible for fulfilment, ticketing, changes, cancellations or refunds — those are handled by the airline or agency you book with, under their own terms.

Cookies and attribution

So that a referral can be correctly credited, our flight-search partner and the providers you click through to may set cookies. You can manage these as described in our Cookie Policy, and read more about data handling in our Privacy Policy.

Advertising

From time to time we may also display advertising or other affiliate links. Where we do, the same principles apply: it never changes our editorial judgement, and we will always aim to make any material connection clear.
